Stephanie Weil

Stephanie Weil is a Mezzo-soprano, currently working towards a bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance at Wayne State University. She has served as Sunday cantor here at Ss. Cyril & Methodius Church since 2015. She started her singing career at Detroit’s St. Joseph Oratory as the primary alto soloist, singing the Mass settings of Haydn, Mozart, and several others. She also has frequently sung the Mezzo-Soprano solos of Vivaldi’s Gloria and Handel’s Messiah. in concert. In 2016, she premiered in The Tyrants, an original opera by Michael Canales, performing two roles as the characters Aeliaand Acte. Just this past year, she helped form and currently is a singing member of Serafina, an early music female quartet, who successfully opened for Boston’s Society for Historically Informed Performance concert series this Summer. For this Music Benefit Concert, Stephanie will feature a wide array of composers and genres including works by Handel, Mozart, Brahms, Mahler, Fauré, Barber, and Ronald.

Aaron Marshall

Aaron Marshall, who just turned twelve years old and publicly hailed as a “child music prodigy”, began guitar studies approximately five years ago in Texas under the tutelage of Kevin Townson as part of the Childbloom Guitar Program. Soon after graduating from the program, he moved to Michigan and resumed his studies with Brian Roberts. He already has performed at several local venues including the Classical Guitar Society of Michigan, Detroit’s St. Joseph Oratory public performances, and local competitions. For this Music Benefit Concert, Aaron will feature German Baroque works by Johann Sebastian Bach along with colorful Spanish Romantic works by Villa-Lobos, Turina, and Jobim.
