SOLEMNITY OF THE PATRONS OF THE PARISH
The Slovaks who started to gather in the early 20th century in the east side of Detroit with the purpose of having a place for the community, for living their faith, and for instructing their children in their mother tongue chose Saints Cyril and Methodius, the apostles of the Slavs, as patrons of the new church.
Now, more than 100 years later, Saints Cyril and Methodius are still venerated as the patrons of the Parish which is home to many Slovak Catholics and many Catholics of all ethnic backgrounds.
Their Feast Day (February 14) will be celebrated as a Solemnity in our Church. Join one of our Sunday Holy Masses: Saturday 5:30PM; Sunday 7:30AM; 9:30AM; 11:30AM (Slovak); 6:00PM (Latin Tridentine); 8:30PM
