Life Chain

JOIN A NATION-WIDE PRAYER CHAIN TO END ABORTION

Life Chain is a peaceful and prayerful public witness of pro-life individuals standing in prayer for our nation and for an end to abortion. It is a visual statement of solidarity by the Christian community that abortion kills children and that the Church supports the sanctity of human life from the moment of conception until natural death.

Thousands of participants across the United States and Canada will stand on the sidewalks in witness to their commitment to love and protect the preborn and their mothers. Life Chain challenges the community to be aware and to care. The signs deliver messages that Abortion Kills Children, Adoption is the Loving Option, Abortion Hurts Women, Pray to End Abortion, Life-The First Inalienable Right.

Life Chain is not chiefly a demonstration, and its witness is not intended for the viewing public only. Instead, its first goal is to minister to its own participants—to those who call Christ their Lord and hold pro-life messages that declare abortion a grave evil that defames the name and holiness of God (Leviticus 18:21). Indeed the Church that Christ founded has drifted into cold indifference toward the sacredness of human life, and the result has been the mindless surgical killing and mutilation of over 63 million preborn Americans, plus untold millions who have fallen victim to abortive chemicals and medical neglect.

This is an event for the whole family. It will take place on the front lawn of Ss. Cyril & Methodius Parish on Sunday, October 1, from 2:00PM – 3:30PM. If you are unable to stand the whole time, be sure to bring a lawn chair! And, dress according to the weather. It is usually chilly so bring hats and gloves and remember an umbrella if it rains!

NOTE: Signs will be provided. Only the preapproved Life Chain signs are allowed.
