Fish Fry Helpers Needed

The Knights & the Fish Frys Need Your Help!

For the 4th year, the St. Nicholas Knights of Columbus Council is partnering with Ss. Cyril & Methodius to host Fish Frys every Friday (except Good Friday) in Lent in the Fr. Mikus Hall beginning Friday, February 16. To enable us to offer this great meatless meal to our parishioners and visitors, we will need a lot of adult and teen volunteer help. Fish Frys start at 4:00PM and close at 7:00PM, each week.

We will be offering take out and dine in options and have a need for help in the kitchen, servers, clean-up and food preparation people. As in years past, we will offer cod, salmon, shrimp, mac n’ cheese, grilled cheese sandwiches, coleslaw, fries and, of course, Joe’s Famous Homemade Chowder.

If you can help on any or all the Fridays in Lent – except Good Friday – please contact: St. Nicholas Council’s Chancellor, Joseph White, at chancellor7011@gmail.com, or call him at (586) 556-2122, or leave your name and dates of availability in the Ss. Cyril & Methodius Parish Office.

REMINDER: Adult Volunteers: If you haven’t taken the Protecting God’s Children training yet, please sign up at www.virtus.org. A background check must also  be completed through Ss. Cyril & Methodius. Background Check forms are available on the table in the vestibule or at the link below. Please turn your  completed form into the Parish Office for Deacon Phil McCown.  Teen Volunteers (ages 14-17) must also complete a 35-minute online workshop through www.virtus.org.

Please join in this labor of love so that everyone can enjoy a delicious fish dinner this Lenten season.
