Public Rosary for the Election

Let’s unite our voices together in prayer during the days leading up to the election on November 5th.

Everyone is invited to unite our prayers together with fellow parishioners and patriots by praying the Rosary each day through November 5, wherever we are, at either 7:00AM or 7:00PM (or both). And, through the intercession of Our Lady, we will ask God to Protect our Religious Liberties and preserve our rights to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.

Occasionally, a public Rosary will be recited in front of the outdoor Slovak Cross. The next public Rosary is on Tuesday, September 24, at 5:30PM. Please come and bring your rosary and a lawn chair.

Begin with the Election Prayer (below) by Servant of God, Fr. John A. Hardon, S.J., followed by the recitation of the Holy Rosary and conclude with the Memorare and the Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel (also listed below).

“I pray that they may be [one] in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.”  –John 17:21

Election Prayer for our Nation

Lord Jesus Christ, You told us to give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar, and to God what belongs to God. Enlighten the minds of our people in America. May we choose a President of the United States, and other government officials, according to Your Divine Will.

Give our citizens the courage to choose leaders of our nation who respect the sanctity of  unborn human life, the sanctity of marriage, the sanctity of marital relations, the sanctity of the family, and the sanctity of the aging. Grant us the wisdom to give You, what belongs to You, our God. If we do this, as a nation, we are confident You will give us an abundance of Your blessings through our elected leaders. Amen.

Composed by (Servant of God) Father John Anthony Hardon, S.J.. Imprimatur: +Rene H. Gracida, Bishop of Corpus Christi, July 7, 1992. Published by Eternal Life in 1992

The Memorare

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.

Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel

Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil; May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; And do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
